PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an array substrate for an in-plane switching mode liquid crystal display device is provided to eliminate a need of using a halftone mask, thereby eliminating additional costs. CONSTITUTION: A non pixel area and a pixel area are defined on a substrate. A gate line(106c) and a common line(106d) are formed on the non pixel area of the substrate. A pixel electrode(103b) is formed on the pixel area of the substrate. A gate insulating film, a semiconductor layer, and a second conductive metal layer are successively laminated on a frontal side of the substrate. The substrate includes the gate line, the common line, and the pixel electrode. |
