FIELD: machine building. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine tool industry and may be used in production of multipurpose lathes. Proposed carriage comprises lengthwise and crosswise slides, tool head made up of either capstan head or rotary cutter head. Carriage comprises also rotary platform mounted on lengthwise slides to turn about axis parallel with lathe axis. Crosswise slides are mounted to rotary platform. Note here that carriage comprises screw-nut gear with bearing arranged in rotary platform.
