摘要 Disclosed are an electrophoretic display apparatus and a method for driving the same, which facilitate minimization of the flickering of the screen as well as minimization of the unintended gray scale transition caused by the neighboring cells. Disclosed also is a method for measuring the image stability of an electrophoretic display apparatus which allows a user to visually recognize any unintended gray scale transition that may occur after a predetermined time passes without a data voltage supplied and to identify whether the degree of the unintended gray scale transition exceeds an allowable range. When an image switching is performed, no data voltage is supplied to a first cell to be maintained with a first gray scale without gray scale transition, and a data voltage of a predetermined waveform is supplied to a second cell to be maintained with a second gray scale without gray scale transition.
