<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase control dimmer capable of suppressing an electromagnetic noise and reducing the stress added to a peripheral circuit component. <P>SOLUTION: A phase control dimmer 1 comprises: a load driving circuit 11 which controls dimming of an illumination load 2 connected to a commercial AC power supply AC by a phase control of switching means Q5; a waveform shaping circuit 16 which alleviates a steep rising of a voltage waveform when the phase applied to an output end of the load driving circuit 11 is controlled; and a current limiting circuit 17 which limits the maximum current flowing in the switching means Q5 of the load driving circuit 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
