PURPOSE: A vehicle control module which can be installed on a vehicle and a vehicle control method thereof are provided to control a door lock of a vehicle when a user having a terminal approaches the vehicle through communications with an antenna unit. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle control module(210) comprises first and second antenna units(211,213), an antenna selection unit(215), a Bluetooth module(217), and a control unit(219). The first antenna unit has a first communication range. The second antenna unit has a second communication range wider than the first communication range. The antenna selection unit selects one of the first second antenna units. The Bluetooth module is connected to a terminal through the second antenna unit by controlling the antenna selection unit. When the terminal exists within the first communication range, the Bluetooth module outputs a terminal existence signal. When the control unit receives the terminal existence signal from the Bluetooth module, the control unit unlocks a vehicle door. |
