<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device having a simple structure in which an organic layer having a uniform film thickness can be formed in a region surrounded by barrier walls. <P>SOLUTION: The display device includes: a base; a barrier wall separating predetermined sections on the base; and a plurality of organic EL elements each of which is provided in each of the sections separated by the barrier wall. Each of the organic EL element comprises a first electrode, an organic layer and a second electrode which are laminated from a side of the base in the order. The barrier wall is provided such that an end thereof is in contact with on the first electrode. In the first electrode, a hollow, which is recessed closer on a base side than an interface between an end of the barrier wall and the first electrode, is formed at a remaining portion excluding a portion covered with the end of the barrier wall when viewed from one of the base thickness direction and at a periphery of the remaining portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
