<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic length-measuring device for a power tool which allows a hand-held power tool to easily perform scraping, cutting, or drilling with a required length and depth without an error in scraping, cutting, or drilling work. <P>SOLUTION: Before a drilling, a setting value of a length set value 8 is set, and then a set button 6 is pressed to read the set value, which is indicated on a length set value remainder display 9. Pressing a switch for the power tool causes the power tool to start turning, thus causing a drill attached to the front end of the power tool to advance while forming a hole. As the drill advances, a numerical value indicated on the length set value remainder display 9 decreases.
