<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe that suppresses acoustic lens from being worn out even if the acoustic lens contacts with a subject, and that prevents leakage in an inner transceiving unit even if the acoustic lens is worn out by scanning the ultrasonic probe for a long time. <P>SOLUTION: The ultrasonic probe is provided for effectively preventing leakage, etc even if the acoustic lens in a shoulder part of an apical end portion, or an upper part of a corner portion of the inner transceiving unit is worn out to some degree, wherein a thickness of a predetermined part of the acoustic lens 14 of the ultrasonic prove, in other words the shoulder part of the apical end portion and/or the upper part of the corner portion of the ultrasonic transceiving unit 12 located at a lower part of the acoustic lens is configured to be thicker than a periphery of the lens (to provide a protrusion 14C). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
