METHOD OF USING STANDARD BACTERIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which can inexpensively and easily provide or use a standard bacterium having a small variation in number of bacteria measured when used in accuracy control of a bacteria test.

SOLUTION: The standard bacterium for accuracy control in bacteria count test is produced by a method where the bacterium is cultured and collected, and diluted so that the number of bacteria reaches a predetermined value and then freeze-dried. When the standard bacterium is used, it is used on one of the seventh to fourteenth day after the completion of the freeze drying. The standard bacterium can be also used on one of the continuous three days from the seventh to ninth day after the completion of the freeze drying.
