The calculation of the autonomy of a lubrication system of airplane engine and the diagnosis and prognosis of multiple problems and breakdowns of the engine and lubrication system of the engine are performed based on the measurements taken by sensors arranged in the lubrication system. The status of the lubrication system at a given moment and the evolution of lubrication system over time are calculated in order to determine the remaining lifetime before the breakdown. An independent claim is included for lubrication system.
