<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer rotor electric motor capable of improving the detection accuracy by a resolver. <P>SOLUTION: A resolver 9 has a resolver stator 91 attached to a stator 10 or a motor housing 2, and a resolver rotor 92 attached to a rotor 6 or a rotary shaft 8 supporting the rotor 6 so as to be opposed to the resolver stator 91.
