<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save time and effort to check presence/absence of one's belongings manually, and to prevent the belongings from being left behind without fail. <P>SOLUTION: A mobile phone 1, as a wireless communication device according to one embodiment, includes transmission means, reception means, and notification means. The transmission means wirelessly transmits an inquiry signal to an RFID tag 2 at predetermined intervals, and the reception means receives a response signal wirelessly transmitted from the RFID tag 2 in response to the inquiry signal.
