<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage to an internal element of a terminal when a ground fault or a line-to-line fault occurs. <P>SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, there is provided a power-supply unit comprising an output transistor and a pre-driver. The output transistor is provided between an output terminal and an input voltage terminal to which an input voltage is supplied. A control signal is input to a gate of the output transistor, and the output transistor outputs a first output voltage to the output terminal by switching on or off according to the control signal. The pre-driver generates the control signal and outputs the control signal to the gate of the output transistor. When a ground fault occurs to the output terminal, the pre-driver makes a fall of the output transistor later than that of a normal operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
