A sill insulation member, preferably an oversill insulation member, for fitting onto a window sill comprising a one piece integrally formed being formed of polymeric material having low thermal conductivity, and the sill insulation member 200 having a sloped profile and a shoulder at one end of the sloped profile. The insulation member may have a drip profile on its underside surface to allow water to drain away. The polymeric material may be expanded polystyrene (EPS). A water proof polymer sealant may be used in conjunction with uPVC trim along the lateral and posterior edges to seal the insulation member to the surround. The insulation member may be coated with a resin 206, preferably a high impact resistance resin formed from a polymer binder, quartz and dolomite filler and humidifiers, preserving agents and thickeners. The binder is preferable a styrene acrylic polymer binder and the coating may include cellulose fibres. The sill is preferably glued in place using adhesive.
