The present embodiments provide systems and methods for deploying at least one clip during a medical procedure. In one embodiment, the system (10) comprises a clip (20) having first (30) and second (40) arms, wherein distal regions (34,44) of the first and second arms tend to be spaced apart from each other when the clip is in an open state, and wherein the distal regions of the first and second arms are adjacent to each other when the clip is in a closed state. A locking pin (70) is coupled to the clip and disposed for incremental movement relative to the clip. Further, a tether (60) is coupled to the locking pin, wherein a first tether segment (64) is secured to the distal region of the second arm, and a second tether segment (63) is secured to the distal region of the first arm. In use, proximal retraction of the locking pin causes a proximal retraction of the first and second tether segments to move the clip between the open and closed states. Incremental retraction of the locking pin incrementally advances the clip between the open and closed states. |
