METHOD FOR IMMUNIZING ANIMAL, COMPOSITION FOR IMMUNIZATION, METHOD FOR PRODUCING ANTIBODY, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING HYBRIDOMA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for allowing induction of a response of humoral immunity with higher efficiency in a shorter period of time when an antibody against an antigenic protein is prepared according to gene immunization.

SOLUTION: There is provided the method for immunizing an animal including immunizing a non-human animal with an antigen; and thereby inducing the response of the humoral immunity to a desired membrane protein in the non-human animal. The method for immunizing the animal includes administering a fusion gene obtained by linking a gene encoding the full length or a part of flagellin to a gene encoding the full length or a part of the membrane protein to the non-human animal; thereby expressing the fusion gene in the non-human animal; and inducing the humoral immunity to the membrane protein. In addition, there are provided a composition for immunization used in the method, a method for producing an antibody utilizing the method, and a method for producing a hybridoma.
