<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device which includes a manual feeding guide that performs the displacement between a position that forms a manual feeding path and a retreating position retreated from the manual feeding path, and can prevent the problem of the manual feeding guide moving unintentionally when an impact is made to the device. <P>SOLUTION: An inkjet printer 1 includes the manual feeding guide 10 for manually feeding a recording medium of high rigidity such as a cardboard. The manual feeding guide 10 is provided to perform the displacement between a first position that forms the manual feeding path and a second position retreated from the manual feeding path, and a locking means 58 (locking member 57) locks the manual feeding guide 10 at the second position so that it is not displaced.
