<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of taking a still image by automatically adjusting an exposure condition to only plural subjects which are designated by a user from among plural subjects reflected on a through image. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging device is provided with: an image display device 4 which displays frame images sequentially generated by photographing; a touch panel 6 installed in the state of covering the screen of the image display device 4; automatic exposure means which automatically adjusts the exposure condition, aiming at an automatic exposure area set on the screen; image recording means which records the frame images in response to a user operation; and area setting means which sets plural automatic exposure areas on the screen in response to operation on the touch panel 6.
