A glow plug structure is provided to increase a caloric value without raising a diameter of a plug by forming a heat generating part in a two-stage in an axial direction of a glow pin. A glow plug structure includes a housing(2), a glow pin(3), a spring(4), a cam(5), a motor(6), and a metal connection terminal. The housing is fastened to a cylinder head(1) by a screw and has a threaded part formed at its outer periphery and a guide hole formed in a longitudinal direction thereof. The glow pin is vertically movably installed to pass through the guide hole. The spring is inserted into an upper end of the glow pin and installed between a spring seat formed at the glow pin and a predetermined surface of the housing to resiliently support the glow pin. The cam is in contact with an upper end of the glow pin. The motor has a rotary shaft connected to the cam. The metal connection terminal connects a power line to each heat generating coil.
