PURPOSE: A safety opening device for a lift door is provided to safely and simply open an outer door by operating a connection member installed the outer door in order to open the outer door only when a delivering unit of a lift is reached to each floor in a hoistway. CONSTITUTION: A safety opening device for a lift door comprises a brake body(3), an auxiliary brake member(6), a brake member(5), and a connection member(7). The brake body is installed in the upper end of an outer door of a lift frame. An elastic reciprocating unit is passed through an insertion hole forming at the bottom of the brake body and is inserted into the brake body. The auxiliary brake member is installed in the upper end of a delivering unit in order to push one side of the elastic reciprocating unit of the brake body at a certain position, thereby pulling back the elastic reciprocating unit. The brake member is installed in the upper end of the outer door. The upper part of the brake member is inserted in the insertion hole of the brake body or is drawn out from the insertion hole. The connection member is connected between the lower end of the brake member and a handle of the outer door to control lifting motion of the brake member.
