The invention relates to a composition, which contains at least one ?-3 fatty acid and at least one inhibitor of the NF-KB transcription factor. Said composition is suitable as a drug or pharmaceutical basis formulation, in particular for preventing or treating inflammation. Preferably, the drug is suitable for topical application or inhalation for the fields of ophthalmology and ear, nose and throat (ENT) and for the areas of the mouth and the pharynx and the area of the lungs for prevention and therapy.
