PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device which discriminates a steering operation aiming at turning in road from a disturbance and consequently more suitably reduces a burden on a driver.
SOLUTION: When lead-pull compensation control is performed and it is determined that a vehicle is not in a straight running state, the length of a continuous section in which a sign of the steering torque τ generated thereafter is coincident with the sign of a steering torque differential value dτ, namely, the lapsed time equivalent to a half of such a cycle that the generated direction of the steering torque τ is coincident with the changed direction thereof is measured. When the lapsed time is shorter than a threshold C0 which is set in association with the length of the continuous section to be generated upon performing the steering operation aiming at turning in road, a correction permitted flag is not reset but such a determination is sustained that the vehicle is continuously in the straight running state and the lead-pull compensation control is continued.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
