<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clip material which prevents occurrence of a gap between a weed-proof sheet and a parting material and also with which the weed-proof sheet is efficiently laid. <P>SOLUTION: The clip material 5 includes a long material the whole of the cross section of which is formed into an almost U shape to make a U-shaped recessed part 7, and is structured to be engaged to a parting material body 2 while deforming in a direction where the opening 4 of the U-shaped recessed part 7 broadens when the parting material body 2 is inserted into the U-shaped recessed part via the opening 4 of the U-shaped recessed part 7 together with the weed-proof sheet 3 covered over the upper edge side thereof. The clip material 5 includes folded back parts 6, 6 disposed while facing each other with the opening 4 of the U-shaped recessed part 7 therebetween by folding back the edge of the opening 4 inward.
