HEAT RADIATING COMPONENT AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat radiating component capable of improving heat radiation properties, and to provide a method of producing the same.

SOLUTION: The heat radiating component includes: a base material including a first metal; a first plating layer which is a composite plating layer formed on the base material and including a second metal and carbon material dispersed in the second metal; and a second plating layer formed on the first plating layer. The first plating layer includes a plurality of protruding parts that are parts of the carbon material protruding from a surface of the second metal. The second plating layer is so formed as to cover surfaces of the protruding parts and the surface of the second metal without filling spaces between the adjoining protruding parts.
