PURPOSE: A device for controlling disc loading or door closing operations and a method thereof are provided to automatically control disc loading and door closing operations by a set value of a door close flag. CONSTITUTION: A loading lever(14) loads a disc(10) on a tray. A first sensor(20) detects disc insertion before the loading lever rotates. A second sensor(21) detects disc insertion after the loading lever rotates. A controller automatically controls disc loading and door closing operations by a set value of a door close flag and on/off state of the first and second sensors.
