<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a precise particle size distribution by increasing calculation accuracy in calculating the particle size distribution on the basis of an electro-mobility distribution measured by a DMA. <P>SOLUTION: A DC power supply 21 applies an exponentially changing classification voltage to an inner cylinder part 12 under the control of a control part 33, and a data collection part 30 performs sampling of detection signals corresponding to charged aerosols having different electro-mobility and reaching a detector 22 at a timing such that two times of the electro-mobility is divided into 22 stages at equal time intervals. Thereby, as to not only the electro-mobility 2<SP POS="POST">n</SP>times as large as a monovalent electro-mobility but also the electro-mobility of other magnification, difference between a calculated electro-mobility and the electro-mobility at an actually sampled measurement point is small. Consequently, accuracy is improved when a particle size distribution is calculated from an electro-mobility distribution by Hoppel's method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
