METHOD OF LONGITUDINAL CONNECTION FOR DOUBLE STEEL BOX GIRDER USING TENDON AND CONNECTION PLATE AND METHOD STEEL BOX GIRDER BRIDGE USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A method for longitudinally connecting double steel box girders using tendons and connection plates and a construction method of a steel box girder bridge using the same are provided to simply obtain the initial setting positions of external and internal steel box girders. CONSTITUTION: A method for longitudinally connecting double steel box girders using tendons and connection plates is as follows. Connection plates(140) are installed on the inner surfaces of the connection end(C1) of an external steel box girder(100a). Fastening nuts are attached on bolt holes(141) formed in the connection plates. The connection plates have tapered parts(143) slid into the connection end(C2) of the other external steel box girder(100b). The bolt holes of the connection plates are connected to the bolt holes formed in the connection end of the other external steel box girder using fixing bolts. Fixtures(110) and anchorages(120) are installed on the outer surfaces of the external steel box girders to horizontally connect the external steel box girders to each other. One ends of the tendons are fixed to the fixtures, and the tendons are inserted into the anchorages. The tendons are used as guide members for setting the initial positions of the external steel box girders.
