PURPOSE: A boiling-over preventing lid for a cooking receptacle is provided to control the discharge of steam using a handle coupling hole on the lid without a separate steam discharge hole. CONSTITUTION: A boiling-over preventing lid for a cooking receptacle consists of a lid(100), a lower flange(200), a silicon member(300), an upper flange(400), a handle(700) and a fastening member. A through hole(110) is formed on the lid. A first steam discharge hole is formed on the lower flange. Opening/closing unit of the silicon member elastically lifts according to the inner steam pressure of the cooking receptacle and the silicon member varies the open area of steam through the steam discharge hole. The upper flange has a cap shape to form a space to the top of the lid. A second steam discharge hole communicating with the first steam discharge hole is formed on the upper flange.
