PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input system suitable for touch typing for the case where a shift key (new keyboard call key) of a personal computer is placed within a frame of an alphabet input keyboard.SOLUTION: A keyboard with three rows and ten columns suitable for touch typing is used and a shift key (new keyboard call key) is placed within a frame of the keyboard with three rows and ten columns. In a Japanese input system with three types of vowel keys, i.e. short, complex and long, using the keyboard with three rows and ten columns, input of Katakana words over a whole area is enabled by setting a, i, u, e, o and yu, a macron, a V key and a W key in a keyboard called by the shift key (new keyboard call key).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
