<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a sheet processing device having a stapling function, in view of a problem wherein installation of the sheet processing device on a smaller image forming apparatus in the future is beginning to be extremely difficult since a stapler means is a most common space-taking unit inside the sheet processing device and therefore miniaturization of the sheet processing device cannot be attained without miniaturization of a stapler device. <P>SOLUTION: In a stapler unit 420 in the sheet processing device 400, a needle cartridge 460 is stocked in a sheet inserting direction. The needle cartridge 460 is stored in a space under a processing tray 410 which is a dead space in the sheet processing device 400 in the past, whereby the miniaturization of the sheet processing device can be attained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
