<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system which can provide comfortable operability for a user in operation of multi-window. <P>SOLUTION: A window system 400 controls allocation of a unique window to each of multiple application programs 100 operating concurrently. A motion sensor 600 as a pointing device irradiates light intermittently to a user's hand moved in three-dimensional space, executes photographic processing at irradiation time and non-irradiation time, analyzes a difference image of an image acquired at the irradiation time and an image acquired at the non-irradiation time and detects the user's hand.
