PURPOSE: A charcoal ignition device with a harmful matter removal function is provided to completely remove dust and harmful gas because harmful matter penetrates through purifying liquid jetting and swirling sections of an exhaust flue. CONSTITUTION: A charcoal ignition device(1) with a harmful matter removal function comprises a purification unit(10). The purification unit comprises a precipitation tank(15) and a storage tank(18). A suction fan(12) is installed in an exhaust flue(14) of the precipitation tank. The suction fan inhales external air through an air inlet pipe(27) and exhausts the inhaled air. The storage tank supplies a purifying liquid through a supply pipe(17). The exhaust flue is divided into a purifying liquid jetting section(s) and a purifying liquid swirling section(S). When harmful matter is exhausted through the exhaust flue, the purifying liquid penetrates through the purifying liquid swirling section to purify the harmful matter, and the purified harmful matter is exhausted to the air.
