The carrier has two carrier parts arranged parallel to each other, where one of the carrier parts comprises support plates (3) and recesses adapted to cross-sections of battery cells (2) for retaining the battery cells. A support (4) is arranged at an edge of each recess and lateral-frictionally applied to a battery cell end region. A battery cell end is applied to a claw stopper of the support. An electrical battery cell connector (5) is attachable at the battery cell end. A heat dissipating casting compound is applied on the support plates, the battery cell ends and the cell connector.
