<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent corrosion of a circuit board connected to the lower side of a display panel in a liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: A display device includes a display panel 1 and a frame member 5 for supporting periphery of a display plane of the display panel. The display plane of the display panel is approximately polygonal. A bottom plane 5a of the frame member 5 is provided with a depressed part (groove) 5c for receiving water 14. This causes the incoming water 14 to stay in the depressed part 5c and prevents the water 14 from moving on the bottom plane 5a of the upper frame 5 due to vibration or the like.
