摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image signal processing device which enables highly accurate autofocus control without depending on the brightness of an image even in a camera device that uses image pickup elements having a nonlinear characteristic such as logarithmic compression. <P>SOLUTION: For example, an embodiment of the present invention comprises: image pickup elements that photoelectrically convert incident light from a subject and output it as an image signal, where its input/output characteristic is nonlinear; input means that performs predetermined processing on the image signal from the image pickup elements and inputs it; signal level detection means that detects levels in the image signal from the input means; contrast detection means that detects contrast based on differences in signal level between a target pixel and its peripheral pixels of the image signal from the input means; weight conversion means that performs predetermined weighting processing on an output signal from the contrast detection means based on the detection result at the signal level detection means; synthesizing means that synthesizes output signals from the weight conversion means for a predetermined period; and control means that performs focus control in response to an output signal from the synthesizing means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
