摘要 <p>The invention relates to a process for preparing fluorescent cadmium selenide nanocrystals, with a broad range of potential applications in video colour display systems, in lighting sources of high energetic efficience, photovoltaic cells and the like. According to the invention, the method employs a saturated monocarboxylic aliphatic acid to which the cadmium oxide precursor is admixed while stirring in an inert nitrogen atmosphere, the whole mixture is heated up to a temperature of 165°C and then the tributylphosphine-selenium is introduced, a reaction time ranging between 30...150 s being provided, after which, simultaneously with the removal of the heating source, the flow rate of nitrogen is substantially increased, then n-hexane is admixed into the reaction mass, it is centrifuged for 10 min at 6000 rpm and there is collected the liquid phase wherein there are dispersed cadmium selenide nanocrystals with fluorescent emission in the visible spectrum.</p>
