The linear actuator has a braking unit (20) that is arranged in a fixed housing (13) to switch actuator between ON and OFF states. A sliding sleeve (2) is arranged on the shaft (1). An external thread (7) is arranged at outer surface (6) of the sliding sleeve. A flange (11) with an internal thread (10) is arranged above the external thread. The flange is fitted in axial direction of the housing using braking unit.
