The solar collector assembly (10) has frame to which disk elements (12,14) are attached, so that a space (18) is formed between the disk elements. A heat-absorber (22) is arranged in the space between the disk elements. The heat-absorber is comprised of fluid ports (30,32) and fluid flow channel. A length compensation element is provided at the fluid ports, so as to compensate for thermally induced dimensional changes of the heat-absorber.
