<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that has more stabilized image quality than conventional image quality. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming method for the image forming apparatus, which forms a toner image by developing an electrostatic latent image formed on the surface of a photoreceptor 2, comprises: forming toner images for a plurality of patch images of the same gradation during the passage of a rise time constant of an amount of charged toner after the start of the operation of a developing unit 3, and detecting the image densities of the toner images of the patch images (S108); obtaining an amount of charged toner from each of the detected image densities and forming a rise prediction formula for the amount of charged toner (S111); and correcting a gradation correction table, which is used for correcting a relation between an image signal and each image density by using the rise prediction formula (S116). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
