<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve heat responsiveness of a thermal print head which forms one pixel with a plurality of elements. <P>SOLUTION: A heating body plate 30 of the thermal print head includes: an insulation substrate, a circuit pattern 40, an insulation layer 52, a heat diffusion section 50 and a protection layer 54. The circuit pattern 40 has a pair of heating resistor sections 42, a turnup conductive section 44 serially connecting the pair of heating resistor sections 42 to each other, an individual electrode and a common electrode 48. When a voltage is applied across the individual electrode and the common electrode 48, the pair of heating resistor sections 42 are concurrently heated. The insulation layer 52 is made of an insulation material and is piled up on an exposed face of the insulation substrate and the circuit pattern 40. The heat diffusion section 50 is made of a metallic material and is formed on the insulation layer 52 so as to be spread from the top of the turnup conductive section 44 toward the opposite side of the heating resistor sections 42.
