PURPOSE: An adhesive for a polarizing plate is provided to have low viscosity, and excellent adhesion, water resistance and optical properties, and to have a thin adhesive layer even at high-speed lamination. CONSTITUTION: An adhesive composition for a polarizing plate comprises one or more kinds of an acrylic monomer having a hydrophilic group, a radical polymerization initiator, a cation-cured resin, a cationic photopolymerization initiator and a surfactant. The cation cured resin is an epoxy resin. The acrylic monomer having a hydrophilic group is selected from a group consisting of hydroxyethyl acrylate, hydroxymethyl methacrylate, hydroxypropyl acrylate, hydroxypropyl methacrylate, hydroxybutyl acrylate and mixtures thereof.
