A portable closed-loop system for temperature regulation of an area of the human body comprising: a reservoir for a liquid, an enveloping means for enveloping the area of the human body comprising at least on conduit in fluid communication with the reservoir; and a control assembly configured to set the temperature of the liquid in the conduit; wherein the conduit is arranged to uniformly regulate the temperature over the area enveloped by the enveloping means.
