Surface adhesive layer - applied on separately heated surface

When generating adhesive surface condition or applying adhesive intermediate layers onto surfaces for further coating applications by flame or hot spraying, heat is applied to the surface after or during the application of the adhesive material and the covering layer material is applied immediately afterwards or at least prior to the intermediate layer losing it's adhesive power. In the prefd. procedure the additional heat is applied by means of an independently controllable ring burner attached to the flame gun. The process is used for covering both metallic and non metallic materials and has the advantage of permitting the use of adhesives which are only active when heated, or are triggered off by heat.
