PURPOSE: A view mode displaying method and a navigation device displaying the view mode are provided to smoothly shift a first mode into a second view mode set in advance correspondently to the kinds of three-dimensional roads at a predetermined distance before. CONSTITUTION: A navigation device(100) comprises a control unit(150) and a display unit(140). A pre-set distance before displaying a three-dimensional diagram is remained, the control unit calculates map level information, a view distance information, and view angle information based on a distance between the vehicle and the place where start to display a three-dimensional diagram, a sort of three-dimensional diagram, and a driving speed of the vehicle. The control unit controls the display of the map data corresponding to one among the map level information, the view distance information, and the view angle information.
