A method for determination of concentration of electrons in ionosphere is in that ionosphere is sounded with a radio-pulse that consists of two elements, first of those is long and has circular polarization and carrier frequency f, and the second one is short and has carrier frequency f, shifted relative to f, one receives incoherently scattered by ionosphere signal with a radio-receiver that has two frequency channels adjusted to frequencies fand f, with determination of correlation functions of spectra of signal received with channel of radio-receiver adjusted to frequency f, for different heights h and normalized height profile of power P(h) of signal received by the channel of radio-receiver adjusted to frequency f. Then by correlation functions or by spectra one determines electronic T(h) and ionic T(h) temperatures, with determination of electronic concentrations at heights in the region of maximum ionization of ionosphere according to the expression, wherein- coefficient of proportionality. The short element of sounding radio-pulse has linear polarization, and scattered by ionosphere signals with opposite circular polarizations are received with two radio-receivers. Then one measures phase difference &phgr; of the signals received at frequency fin receiving channels with opposite circular polarizations, with determination of electronic concentration N at heights lower than maximum of ionization of ionosphere according to the expression, wherein- working frequency,- gyromagnetic frequency,- light speed. |
