<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active energy ray-curable resin composition excellent in adhesiveness to a plastic substrate, excellent in adhesion to a top coating film, excellent in adhesiveness to a metal deposition film when an metal deposition layer is provided as a top coating, and suitable for use in undercoating in which the gloss of the metal deposition film is prevented from being degraded; and to provide a coating agent for undercoating, the agent containing the active energy ray-curable resin composition. <P>SOLUTION: The active energy ray-curable resin composition comprises, as essential components: a urethane (meth)acrylate (A) having a (meth)acryloyl group concentration of 7 mmol/g per unit mass; a urethane (meth)acrylate (B) having a (meth)acryloyl group concentration of 3 mmol/g per unit mass; and a photoinitiator (C).
