<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass seal holding structure, capable of enhancing the strength of holding a glass seal and the strength of fixing an auxiliary glass while reducing the weight by omitting a core metal of the glass seal. <P>SOLUTION: In the glass seal holding structure, the glass seal 61 is provided on the auxiliary glass 18 fixed to a door 12 adjacently to a gap 58 between an end surface 56 of a window glass 17 slidably provided on the door 12 and an end surface 57 of the auxiliary glass 18. The holding structure includes a glass holder 64 which guides an inner surface 62 of the window glass 17 through a run channel 63 when sliding the window glass 17 along the end surface 57 of the auxiliary glass 18, and a sash 43 fixed to the door 12 with the glass holder 64 being joined thereto.
