<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to recognize, when the user sets a paper attribute to a paper feeding stage, presence of another paper feeding stage to which the same paper attribute is set. <P>SOLUTION: In a printing system including the plurality of paper feeding stages, when a paper attribute of paper stored in a paper feeding means is set, it is determined whether or not the paper feeding stage having the same paper attribute as the paper attribute to be set is stored in a storage means (S705).
