<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity carrying-out device of a vending machine in which a closing plate can be additionally installed without a big design change. <P>SOLUTION: In the commodity carrying-out device of the vending machine, a first holding member 7 and a second holding member 9 which are pivoted so as to freely protrude-retract from an opening 21 of a base plate 2 to a commodity path, are made protrude and retract alternately at the commodity path R through a link mechanism. The commodity carrying-out device of the vending machine also comprises: a sold-out detection switch 10 having a commodity detection lever 12 provided so as to freely protrude-retract from an opening 22 of the base plate 2 to the commodity path; and a closing plate 20 which advances to the commodity path interlocking with the second holding member 9 and closes a gap between a commodity locking part of the second holding member 9 and the base plate 2. The closing plate 20 comprises a laterally long flat plate part 201 extending in a crosswise direction and a locking part 202 extending upward from a top end of the flat plate part 201 and bending at least in a hairpin curve shape.
