<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an umbilical cord storage container that can be displayed as an interior decoration while preventing an umbilical cord from being lost together with the container. <P>SOLUTION: The umbilical cord storage container 1 includes a pedestal member 2 formed of stone and including a columnar body part 2a, a recess 2b recessed downward from the upper face of the body part 2a, a pair of notches 2c notched with a predetermined width from the upper face of the body part 2a and formed to face across the center, and a decorative part 2d formed at the side face of the body part 2a and having a Japanese character of auspicious "congratulations"; a disc-like bottom plate 3 inserted into the recess 2b; a seal member stuck to the lower face of the bottom plate 3 and stating birth information on a child; a cushioning member 5 covering the upper face of the bottom plate 3 while placing the umbilical cord wrapped in Japanese paper on the upper side; and a cover member 6 formed in hemispherical shape with transparent glass with the lower end placed on the outer peripheral edge of the cushioning member 5 and inserted into the recess 2b from above. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
